Celebrities Congratulate Yun Sung Bin On Becoming 1st Asian To Win Gold Medal In Olympics Sliding Event

Celebrities have come forth to congratulate Yun Sung Bin on becoming the first Asian athlete to win a gold medal in a sliding event, which includes skeleton, Luge and Bobsleigh.

Yun Sung Bin set a track record of 50.02 seconds at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics’s skeleton event on February 16 and won the gold medal after coming in first place in all four races. This makes him the first athlete from Asia to take home gold in a sliding event.

In response, celebrities have taken to social media to congratulate him and celebrate Yun Sung Bin’s achievements. Actor Park Seo Joon posted a photo of the athlete on his personal Instagram account with the simple caption, “Class.”

Actor Lee Dong Hwi also shared a photo of Yun Sung Bin and wrote, “So awesome.”

Actress Park Se Young shared a photo with the caption, “Hope everyone has a happy Lunar New Year with your families. I’m spending the holidays with my family, good food, and the Olympics. Great job on the amazing race.”

Actress and comedienne Ahn Sun Young wrote, “Wow. A gold medal on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Great job, skeleton athlete Yun Sung Bin. My whole family cried. I started crying when I saw the coach crying.”

Musical actress Kim So Hyun stated, “PyeongChang Winter Olympics skeleton athletes Yun Sung Bin and Kim Ji Soo, great job. Joo An is cheering for Korea at the Olympics.”

February Male Advertisement Model Brand Reputation Rankings Revealed

The Korean Business Research Institute has released the brand reputation rankings of male advertisement models for February.

The rankings were determined after an analysis of 17,665,502 pieces of data about 50 male brand models collected from January 13 to February 14. This was a 13.08 percent increase from the 15,621,606 pieces of data used in the ranking for last December.

The monthly brand reputation rankings are a result of big data analysis of participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness as a means to study consumer habits.

Wanna One’s Kang Daniel topped February’s rankings with a total score of 2,408,201 points. This was a 19.76 percent increase from his previous score in the December 2017 rankings.

The chief of the Korean Business Research Institute, Goo Chang Hwan, commented, “Following the analysis for the February 2018 male advertisement model brand rankings, Kang Daniel recorded first. Kang Daniel’s brand as well as the “Kang Daniel syndrome” is continuing through the advertisements and various broadcast, music, and variety show activities he is participating in as a Wanna One member. In 2018, Kang Daniel will be a model for product and distribution advertisements, as well as for financial services.”

Gong Yoo took second place with a total score of 2,225,736 points, which was an impressive 163.62 percent increase from his 844,296 point score in the December 2017 rankings.

Finally, Kim Saeng Min placed third with a total score of 768,969 points, marking a 62.98 percent decrease from his top spot in the December 2017 rankings.

CL Congratulates Fan Chloe Kim After Record-Breaking Gold Medal Win At 2018 Olympics

Korean-American snowboarder Chloe Kim, who happens to be a fan of CL, won the gold medal at the women’s snowboard halfpipe event in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics!

After successfully landing a back-to-back 1080 degree trick, which consists of doing three 360-degree rotations in the air followed by another three 360-degree rotations in the air, Chloe Kim received a high score of 98.25 points. At 17 years old (in Western reckoning), this made Chloe Kim the youngest female snowboarder to win gold the Olympics, setting a new record.

Chinese snowboarder Liu Jiayu was awarded the silver medal with 89.75 points and American snowboarder Ariel Gold won the bronze with 85.75 points.

Chloe Kim has mentioned in interviews that she often listens to CL’s music and dances to it before she competes.

On February 14, CL uploaded a screenshot of an Olympics fan’s Instagram post about Chloe Kim’s gold medal win and congratulated her on her amazing feat. CL’s fans are known as GZBs, and CL added at the beginning of her caption, “GZBz do it well.”

Actor Park Seo Joon also posted a photo of Chloe Kim receiving the gold medal with the caption, “That’s crazy.”

Park Seo Joon Shares Memory From Recent Trip With Park Hyung Sik And BTS’s V

Former “Hwarang” co-starts Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, and BTS’s V are as close as ever!

On February 6, Park Seo Joon shared a sunlit photo of himself alongside his friends. He also wrote, “Thank you to the woman who took this photo for us. Let’s go home now.”

According to the findings of media outlet TV Report, Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, and V recently went on a vacation together, making time from their respective busy schedules.

They first met on the set of the 2016 drama “Hwarang,” and have continued their friendship since then. Just last month, Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik met up with V to celebrate his birthday, and also attended BTS’s concert last year in December. When Park Hyung Sik and V recently saw each other backstage at the 32nd Golden Disc Awards, they didn’t forget to call Park Seo Joon.

Lee Hyun Woo Holds Final Fan Meeting With Park Seo Joon And Woo Do Hwan Before Military Enlistment

Actor Lee Hyun Woo said goodbye to his fans and announced the date of his military enlistment at a special fan meeting in Seoul.

On February 3, Lee Hyun Woo held his first-ever solo fan meeting in Korea to bid his fans farewell ahead of his military enlistment. Over the course of three hours, the actor answered fans’ questions about his previous roles and took a nostalgic look back at his career, sharing some of the memories that he treasured most.

Lee Hyun Woo also treated his fans to a mini-concert of sorts, singing no less than seven songs and impressing the audience with his vocal skills. Not only did he serenade his fans with his song “Your Face,” the actor also performed his own rendition of “Waiting For You” from the OST of his drama “The Liar and His Lover.”

Later on in the meeting, fellow actors Park Seo Joon and Woo Do Hwan appeared as surprise guests, finding time amidst their busy schedules to give their friend a proper send-off. The two asked Lee Hyun Woo some amusing questions on behalf of his fans, revealing the three actors’ close bond and friendship.

Lee Hyun Woo also revealed during the meeting that he would be enlisting in the army on February 19.

Promising his fans that he would return, the actor remarked, “Although I’m still lacking in many ways, I’m going to work hard to grow and mature [as an actor], so that I can show all of you a positive vibe. So I ask that you please continue to keep an eye on me. I will greet you again in the future as a cooler version of myself.”

The Korean Business Research Institute has published January’s results for brand reputation rankings among movie actors!

Gong Yoo topped this month’s brand reputation rankings with a total score of 12,920,989. Ha Jung Woo followed up in second place with a total score of 11,707,120, while Kang Dong Won came in third place with a score of 10,147,528.
