Because of this, the topic of the college entrance exam was a hot issue and celebrities who took the exam in the past also gained a lot of attention. Here are some celebrities who are well-known for their high scores and what they studied once they became college students.

Kim Jung Hoon

Kim Jung Hoon debuted as a part of the male singing duo UN, but these days he is more well-known for his intelligence. He received a score between 380 and 390 out of 400, putting him at the top 0.02 percent. With this score, he was accepted into Seoul University’s pre-dentistry program.

Han Ga In

Actress Han Ga In achieved a high score of 384 out of 400 on her college entrance exam. She originally wanted to go to medical school, but because her score didn’t exceed her final exam scores, she didn’t feel confident enough to apply to medical school and applied for Kyung Hee University’s school of hotel management instead. She was accepted and studied tourism management.

Song Joong Ki

Song Joong Ki’s excellent academic records were revealed in broadcasts in the past including high school report card full of A’s and his experience as a short track speed skating athlete until middle school.

After retaking the college entrance exam, he achieved a high score between 380 and 390 out of 400, and entered Sungkyunkwan University where he studied business management.

Lee Sang Yoon

Actor Lee Sang Yoon scored 370 out of 400 on his college entrance exam and entered Seoul University where he majored in psychology.

In 2012, the actor appeared on KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together” where he revealed his college entrance exam results as well as the fact that he had been a student for 12 years because he had not yet graduated.

Kim Tae Hee

Actress Kim Tae Hee’s college entrance exam placed her at the nation’s top 1 to 1.5 percent. This allowed her to apply to Seoul University’s department of natural science and the then-popular apparel studies.

According to college entrance experts, at the time when Kim Tae Hee took the exam, the cutoff line for Seoul university was 10 points higher and above 380, which means she scored somewhere between 385 to 390 out of 400.

Rain

During his trainee years, JYP’s Park Jin Young told Rain that he would not let him become a singer if he did not study. So, Rain studied hard and was accepted into Kyung Hee University where he majored in post-modern music.

Im Si Wan

Singer and actor Im Si Wan scored an impressive 450 out of 500 on his college entrance exam and entered Busan University where he studied mechanical engineering. This major is a central part of Busan University, and thus a higher score is needed to be accepted.

During the filming of “Incomplete Life,” Im Si Wan revealed that he scored 820 on his TOEIC exam. As of right now, Im Si Wan dropped out of Busan University in order to focus on his career.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun, who is also known as a “math genius,” did well in annual math competitions, received good grades in school, and received the Minister prize at the Olympiad.

However, he was struck with bad health on the day of his college entrance exam. The singer revealed, “I remember not doing well on the listening portion of the exam because I had an ear infection. I couldn’t hear well, so I got two wrong. It was good to experience the nervous feelings of taking a college entrance exam.”

Despite this, he scored within the 5 percent nationwide and studied post-modern music at Kyung Hee University.

Successful performers by day, professional gamers by night? While many idols consider video games as their hobby, only a few of them have been known to master their skills to the maximum. Super Junior’s Kim Heechul

With a Diamond tier rank in League of Legends, we can’t deny that Heechul is one of the most skilled idol gamers out there! His love for games and especially LoL has been showed many times on his variety show “Game Show,” and he also had the chance to play against the famous pro team SK Telecom T-1.

VIXX’s Hongbin

Don’t get fooled by his angelic smile; Hongbin shows no mercy when it comes to Overwatch! Hongbin has been a big fan of games since his early childhood and he is now known as “The Hanzo Master” among idols, as his skills with this Overwatch character are really no joke! He has even been revealed to be ranked No. 7 in Overwatch WW as a Hanzo main.  Hongbin also has a lot of idol Overwatch buddies. He often plays with B1A4’s Gongchan, Jinyoung, and Baro; BTS’s Jungkook, V, and Suga; and even SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups!

EXO’s Baekhyun

Often partnering up with Kim Heechul, Baekhyun is a hardcore fan of LoL as well. He hosted his own LoL show, “Baekhyun’s LoL-lercoaster” (you’ve got to give credit to the creative name). Although he is not always on the winning side, he is said to have quick reactions and smart tactics.

Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon

Highlight’s leader has already shown his competitive spirit during soccer matches, but he is also a talented gamer and plays Overwatch on his days off. Great news for gamer girls, Yoon Doojoon even said he would like to have a girlfriend who knows how to play Overwatch! B1a4’s Gongchan listed Yoon Doojoon among the best Overwatch players, too.

BTS’s Jungkook

Jungkook’s favorite Overwatch character, McCree, was exposed by none other than Hongbin, who praised his gaming skills in an interview. Jungkook is such a big game devotee that he even got a scar on his cheek when he was fighting with his brother over who got to play on the computer.

Block B’s Jaehyo

As a regular guest on “Gaming Show,” Jaehyo has had many chances to showcase his talent in video games. Apart from mastering LoL, he also managed to became the champion of Starcraft among the idols of “Gaming Show.”

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun

The real idol king of Starcraft is definitely Kyuhyun. His skills in the game are estimated to be in the same level as that of a pro. He was even praised by professional gamer Seo Kyung Jong. He is down to play a good game even before and after a performance!

B1A4’s Gongchan

B1A4 members are always up to a good match of video games, but maknae Gongchan seems to shine the most among them! Also a member of the “Gaming Show” squad, he even managed to beat his best friend Hongbin in an intense Overwatch battle! He showed off his skills against BTOB, too.

Hey Soompiers, who are your favorite idols who love to game? Let us know in the comments below!

12 Of The Most Evil Maknaes In K-Pop

Being the youngest in their groups, maknaes are often described as cute, innocent, and full of respect to their older members, but that’s not the case for everyone. It seems like some maknaes were born to annoy their elders with their sassy comebacks and mischievous behavior. Here are some of the boldest and most savage youngsters of our time!

1. Kyuhyun (Super Junior)

Super Junior’s youngest is the definition of evil maknae, literally (according to Urban Dictionary, at least). His sharp tongue is his strongest weapon and that’s what makes him really outstanding when it comes to the infamous “Of Course Game,” too.

2. Changmin (TVXQ)

Kyuhyun’s partner in crime and one of the first sinister maknaes is TVXQ’s Changmin. Also known as Lord Voldemin, Changmin is always up for a fight, especially when it comes to his beloved team members!

3. Seungri (BIGBANG)

Seungri had a hard time adjusting to his group and his role as a maknae, and he still tends to show himself as the innocent victim of the others’ bullying. However, he is often too honest for his own good and is in charge of exposing BIGBANG members’ biggest secrets, including their drinking habits.

4. Yugyeom (GOT7)

“I learned it from the hyungs, tho!” Although his older members often try to stop him from being cocky and a savage, they just can’t deal with their maknae’s bad behavior. Being in constant bickering with Jinyoung must be exhausting, so it’s understandable he wants to be the winner sometimes.

5. Hyuk (VIXX)

As VIXX’s leader N explained, Hyuk used to be kind and cute, but now all members thinks that he’s scary. From a lovely puppy to SatanHyuk, the maknae is not afraid to hit, punch, and throw the older members anymore, and he is in control of VIXX. Even Leo is in fear of him now.

6. Tzuyu (TWICE)

You should never mess with TWICE’s maknae, as Tzuyu is the queen of sassy comebacks. Her banters with leader Jihyo are always worth watching, because there’s a real savage person under the cute and angelic face.

7. Sanha (ASTRO)

Sanha knows how to make the most of “Yaja Time”: he bosses the older members around when he has a chance to speak to them informally. The most hilarious moments come from the way he teases JinJin; he just won’t let the leader live.

8. Chanwoo (iKON)

Don’t get fooled by iKON’s maknae either! Chanwoo might look adorable and awkward at first, but he can be absolutely savage with the others if he wants to. From disapproving stares to snarky comebacks, Chanwoo’s got it all.

9. Yeri (Red Velvet)

Being caught in a continuous “Tom and Jerry” relationship with Joy, Yeri is always up for a good prank with the Red Velvet members. According to her, the important part is that she is always winner in these little battles, so the others need to step up their game sooner or later.

10. Chani (SF9)

From trolling the rest of SF9 with fake bugs to speaking to them informally, Chani has tried everything. Despite being the youngest, he often expresses his disappointment in his members’ childish behavior, too.

11. Sehun (EXO)

Sometimes it’s enough to look at Sehun’s face; you just know that he’s judging the EXO members so hard! He is not often directly mean with his teammates, but he’s trolled them many times before and his witty, sassy remarks are notable as well.

12. Jungkook (BTS)

The list is not complete without BTS’s Golden Maknae, Jungkook. Jimin and Jin could write novels about bickering with their maknae on top and Jungkook is really talented in imitating them, too. Somehow he always gets away with whatever he does, though!
